Ryan and Reggie first played together in 2001. Their rock band toured with Cowboy Mouth, Brian Vanderark (Verve Pipe), and was fortunate to open for Willie Nelson a few times. Over the last 8 years (has it really been that long?) the two have bonded over music, film, religion, politics, and good drink. While opinions sometimes differ, miles have occasionally separated, and the drink usually blurs, the shared passion for good rock'n'roll is what Sweet Eastern Saint is about. Fortunately for both, they have kept company with some very talented folks, namely drummer Derek Mixon, bassist James Cook, and keyboardist Chris Tuttle. The members of SES have been lucky to work with a wide array of artists on stage and in the studio including Jewel, Tracy Byrd, Lee Brice, Shooter Jennings, Raul Malo, Bob Babbit, Jedd Hughes, Jack Ingram, George Clinton, Sheila E., Johnny Neel, Big Kenny, and quite a few more. James and Derek also drive the backbeat of the Levees, a kickass blues-rock outfit that takes you to the swamp and wrestles a gator.
