Labeling Deloris met at Catawba College in 2001. After graduation, LD moved to Nashville and recorded their first album, For the Sake of Deloris. After release, we went on tour with the new album, touring for three months until relocating in Wilmington, NC. While in Wilmington, we began attracting larger and larger number of crowds and constant airplay. In 2009, LD moved back to Nashville. We are in the midst of our largest endeavor yet, a new album with producer, Scotch Ralston, known for his work with 311 and No Doubt. As for 2010, our biggest year yet!
We absolutely love to play and write music. That’s it. We are best friends, we are talented, we are happy playing music. No matter how you become happy, it is just important that you are. We write about everyday events, “blue collar” music. We don’t dive into politics or try to create the most abstract music ever, we make music that appeals to basic human feelings (love, dedication, devotion, etc.) Very rarely, if at all, do we write in a negative view. We like to distill hope in the listeners and let them know that not everything is lost.
